The existing entertainment and kitchen areas in the rear of this 1949 home were
enhanced spatially and visually with a remodel and small addition. Not visible from
the front street facade, the expanded entertainment space was designed to be an
impressive volume at the back of the home with cathedral ceilings and large windows
looking to the existing pool and landscaping within the backyard. The kitchen retains
its original configuration however, the space is updated with custom cabinetry,
granite counter tops and tile back splashes. An open breakfast bar for eating allows a
visual connection to the main entertainment area. Wood flooring spans the
entertaining area as well as the kitchen, matching the existing flooring throughout
the lower level of the house.
